To Mr. Abdullah Al Amin Again

Parvez

Thanks for your common response in Shodalap. I don’t see that much change in your second writing, improving though. I will point out why.

Mr. Amin wrote:

“But it is impossible to address someone if someone does not play by the rule of language. I myself may be prone to typos and silly mistakes, but I never think that is okay if somebody writes wrong Bangla to make a point, even if his point is valid”

I don’t think anybody makes typo or some other mistake intentionally. Especially, in Bengali typing we are prone to make mistake as we are not used to. But it doesn’t anyway hamper to understand the original message. I don’t understand why Mr. Amin fails to understand the point simply because of some typo! Is it because Mr. Amin is trying to deviate the main issue!

Mr. Amin wrote:

“Is this why we shout so much about "mother language" and achieve nothing?”

I fail to understand what he wants to mean. Does ‘shouting for mother language’ mean that we have to know it perfectly? I don’t think so. Is Mr. Amin perfect in Bengali? Has Mr. Amin got 100% marks in Bengali in his SSC and HSC exams? I don’t think so! So, come on Mr. Amin. Please do not play with silly things. I think you are committing logical fallacy like Argumentum ad hominem or Red Herring Fallacy.

Mr. Amin wrote:

“Even if Arabic does contain some common words what is the big deal? Does it invalidate the message in any way?”

So, you understand that! Well, then why did you shout in the first place when someone writes something relevant in his article. Is that the MAIN point of Mr. Bashar’s article? NO. He just brought that ‘language issue’ to explain something, right.

Mr. Amin wrote to Mr. Fatemolla:

“To Mr. Fatemolla: long time no see. I agree with you that "Islam is not the paternal property of anyone". But I strongly remind you that "Islam is not a fair game for anyone"

Who and how is playing ‘fair game with Islam’ here, can you please point out clearly.

 Mr. Amin to Fatemolla:

“You either believe it or leave it. But once you believe it your criticisms have no value if they are not backed by Quran and sunnah.”

Oh! really? Again, who are you to threat somebody in such a way! Who told you that one cannot criticize after believing in something? Doesn’t it mean that Islam is the paternal property of somebody!

Mr. Amin to Fatemolla:

“Please if you have time leave attacking Islam and write on constructive things. That is if you consider yourself a Muslim. If you do not, then Quran and Sunnah is none of your business.”

Please substantiate with clear evidence how Fatemolla is attacking Islam. And how Fatemolla is doing business with Quran and Sunnah! Just passing some air from mouth has no meaning, anyway. You advised him to write on “constructive things”, but you didn’t mention what do you mean by “constructive things”! Wouldn’t it be better, instead of advising somebody, if you would start writing on “constructive things”.

I am really waiting to see your constructive writings.

Thanks,

Parvez
